Who leads the practice Fortop.

Head of SEO

Giorgio Volpe

Pioneer of SEO in Italy, over a quarter of a century on national and international projects. Began in 2000 as an SEO Specialist at Ad Maiora, where he moderated the historic Motoridiricerca.it forum. In 2002 he co-founded SEMS (later acquired by Fullsix), where he held the role of SEO Service Manager until 2009. In 2012 he led the SEO unit at Intarget, helping to position it as a high-profile market reference. In 2018 he co-founded Ragooo, where he led the SEO team also after its acquisition by Connexia, with the title of SEO Director.

Since 2023 he has been Head of SEO at Fortop: he coordinates complex strategies integrating the pillars of traditional SEO with the new evolutionary dynamics driven by LLMs.

Head of Consulting

Stefano Struia

Over twenty years of marketing experience, combining strategic vision and technical-operational competence built on the ground. Active since 2006, he developed from the outset an approach grounded in data as the indispensable basis for every business decision. At Fortop he grew from SEO Specialist (2015) to Head of Consulting (2025), leading complex projects for multinationals such as Barilla, Lactalis, Chiesi Farmaceutici, across worldwide markets and heterogeneous sectors: from food to pharma, from B2B to e-commerce.

He contributes to the development of the proprietary Market Mapping methodology, certified at the International World Wide Web Conference, and maintains an ongoing link with the academic world as a lecturer at the University of Pisa in Business Economics, Management Engineering and in the Master in Marketing Management. Today he leads Fortop’s strategic consulting in the transition to AI and Generative Engine Optimization, with the aim of positioning brands as authoritative sources recognised by LLMs.

Head of Data

Michele Pisani

Scientific training, he came to digital as a self-taught practitioner in the early 2000s, turning his passion for software development and data analysis into his professional path. In 2014 he won first prize at the SMAU Mob App Awards with an Android app designed for accessibility. It is the same builder mindset that led him to create GA4 Magic Reports, a tool for Google Analytics now past 84,000 downloads, and to publish two books on using code as a lever to automate processes.

After six years at mywalit as a developer and analyst — where he designed a multi-language, multi-country e-commerce from scratch and developed a product performance monitoring system installed in the group’s Thai factory — he joined Fortop in 2016. Here he structures tracking and data analysis processes, leading complex multi-platform projects. He progressively takes on responsibility for GDPR strategies up to the role of Head of Data from 2020: today he coordinates the Analytics, Advertising and Development teams on national and international projects.

Fifty specialists, two offices.

Below the three senior heads, Fortop counts around fifty professionals organised by practice: SEO & GEO, Data & Analytics, Strategic Consulting, Engineering & Compliance, Editorial & Content. The majority are senior, with several years of enterprise experience.

Our operating offices are Milan (Corso Sempione 10) and Pisa (Via Pardi 9), connected by a team that moves between the two. Milan is the point of contact with enterprise clients and the international market. Pisa is the home of deep technical work and of the university partnership: this is where the proprietary platforms are built, this is where method research is done.
