Purposes, legal bases and data retention periods

Statistical analyses and improvement of the Site’s features (Dir. 2002/58/EC not applicable). Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR: legitimate interest in improving products and services. Only the time necessary for the complete anonymisation of the data.
Re-contacting the user following events or meetings. Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR: consent; or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR: legitimate interest. Until consent is withdrawn, or a maximum of 3 months from receipt of the data on the basis of legitimate interest, except in case of objection.
Profiling activities to offer personalised promotions and services. Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR: explicit consent of the data subject. Until consent is withdrawn (with a maximum of 2 additional months for technical reasons).

In case of litigation, retention may be extended until the expiry of the applicable limitation period. Data will not be disseminated without prior explicit consent.

Rights of the data subject

At any time, the data subject may exercise the rights provided for by the GDPR (EU Reg. 2016/679), including:

  • To access their personal data.
  • To obtain the rectification, deletion or limitation of processing.
  • To object to processing, where permitted.
  • To obtain data portability, where applicable.
  • To withdraw consent at any time.
  • To lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (for Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personaliwww.gpdp.it).

Rights may be exercised by sending a request to the Data Controller’s contact details.
